PragmatIC is looking for an experienced Office Administrator to provide accounting and administrative support to all team members, on-site at the company’s offices in Cambridge and remotely in conjunction with the Office Administrator in Sedgefield, to enable day to day smooth running of the Company’s back-office function.

Key tasks:

  • Accounts
    • Raising purchase orders
    • Inputting GRN’s into system
    • Data entry of purchase invoices both UK and foreign suppliers
    • Checking and data entry of expenses
    • Data extraction for grant claims
    • Scanning purchase invoices, statements and GRN’s onto the system
    • Ad hoc reporting as required
  • Front of house/reception
    • Meet & greet
    • Fielding phone calls
    • Receiving post and deliveries
    • Organising refreshments (tea/coffee, sandwich lunches, company lunches)
    • First point of contact for facilities issues
    • Keeping office and kitchen clean & tidy
  • General admin duties​
    • Ordering stationery and kitchen consumables
    • Arranging couriers and post
    • Booking flights and accommodation
    • Managing meeting room booking systems

Qualifications and training

  • GCSE English Language (or equivalent)
  • GCSE Maths (or equivalent)
  • Good English (verbal and written)
  • MS Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Sage 50 accounts experience
  • EU VAT handling understanding (an advantage)
  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Strong organisational skills
