PragmatIC is expanding and is looking for an experienced Operations Manager who will be responsible for ensuring that production exceeds both financial and non-financial metrics. The ideal candidate will have a track record of leading production teams and be adaptable, creative with a proactive approach to problem solving.

Key tasks:

  •  Work with the COO to develop and implement systems, policies, processes and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that enable the organisation to meet its goals
  • Lead and manage the on-site operational teams (planning, production, equipment, process, facilities)
  • Prepare and report on the operations budget
  • Report on KPIs
  • Ensure appropriate resources are available to meet manufacturing plan, working with Production Planner and other functional teams
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives working closely with the Quality team 
  • Maintain good working practices, working closely with PragmatIC and supplier H&S personnel. Ensure all H&S regulations are met
  • Interface with internal and external suppliers and customers

Qualifications and training:

  • HNC/HND level in an electronics/mechanical engineering discipline
  • Six Sigma / Lean / Continuous Improvement Methodologies

Skills and experience:

  • Demonstrable experience in a similar position
  • Successful management of automated production lines
  • Measurable evidence of leading a successful and effective operations team
  • Able to drive people and process improvements
  • An open and collaborative approach with the ability to work across teams to achieve results
  • Outstanding communication skills, able to adapt style to different parts of the organisation and liaise with external partners
  • A good level of competence with Microsoft tools
